Joy Lutheran Church - Richmond, Texas
We had installed this window many years before for another stained glass company. The panel was built matching existing stained glass panels in the church. A design was supplied
by Martha Wilson, an artist and member of the church. Martha believed the wheat looked like “feathers”, and the
sun looked like it was “setting”, instead of “rising” and the panel
was not a good representation of what she had designed. We were called out because there were problems with the installation of the panel. While on site to fix the installation
problem, it was stated how the wheat looked like feathers. It was jokingly said that new wheat could be grown. This set in motion what you see below. The overall window design
was kept in tact, with the wheat being changed out, the sun being made bigger, the border color being changed, three pieces of clear glass in the water being changed from clear to
light blue, and the color in the tree being changed out from purple to brown to better match the existing panels in the church.
