We did a partial repair on the sidelite, which means we only repaired the broken part instead of rebuilding the whole sidelite, as a full rebuild was not needed. There was also more privacy wanted in the transom as you could see straight through to the second story balcony. Originally the thought was to put textured glass in place of the clear glass, but a matching designed panel was only a little bit more and would look a whole lot better with the existing door and sidelites. Even though the cost of the matching transom design was a little more than the cost of plain textured glass, it was still a lot lower than what the customer thought a custom designed panel would be.
