Sacred Heart Catholic Church - Galveston, Texas
During Hurricane Ike in 2008, one section of the second story window was sucked out and crashed to the ground below. Origianlly,
a well known East Coast studio had taken the window, but for unknown reasons, it was returned still damaged. Less than 15% of the original glass escaped unbroken.
Freebird Glass traveled to West Virginia to hand select the hand blown glass from the original glass manufacturer. The process of painting
and re-constructing the panel was performed using the lower undamaged panel and photos of the surrounding windows to exactly replicate colors and techniques.
